Overview
Some display changes in the EHR require that you clear your browser's cache to view the change. Instructions are below.
Details
You can clear your browser's cache overall under your browser's settings. Generally this is done under the History settings in the browser controls. However, you may not want to do this - it will cause websites you use frequently to load slightly more slowly the next time you go to that page, and you will have to re-verify the device for any websites that require 2-factor authentication to log in. The instructions below detail how to clear your cache just for a single page to view display changes on that page.
First, navigate to the page where you would expect to see the changes. Then:
In most Windows and Linux browsers:
- Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
- OR hold down ⇧ Shift and click the Reload toolbar button.
In Apple Safari:
- Hold down ⇧ Shift and click the Reload toolbar button.
In Chrome and Firefox for Mac:
- Hold down both ⌘ Cmd+⇧ Shift and press R
