In your Hint account please retrieve your Hint Integration API. You can find this in your hint account under Admin > Integrations > Other Integrations > MD HQ. On this page please click "Integrate with MD HQ" and then copy the Authorization Code.
Once you have this code, in MD HQ go to Admin > Manage > Integrations. From here please paste your integration code and click "Activate Integration."
If you do not see this menu option, please email your Authorization Code to firstname.lastname@example.org and will set up your integration.
Once your code is entered, please select the option you would like to sync your patients between MD HQ and Hint.
Please note that depending on the number of patients that are getting synched, this process may take several minutes.
If you are just getting started with MD HQ and but already have patient data in Hint, click option 1.
If you have patient data in MD HQ and are just getting started with Hint click option 2.
If you have patient data in both MD HQ and Hint, please contact email@example.com for further assistance on setting up your Hint integration.
Once the patients are synched, a list of patients imported will show on your screen. Please note that if a patient is missing First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, or a valid email, they will not synced to MD HQ. These patients will be listed as not able to be imported into MD HQ. If this occurs, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be able to assist you further.
When the MD HQ/Hint integration is active, new patients will register through Hint, and will then receive an invite to sign up for the MD HQ Patient Portal. Once patients sign up, they will be prompted to fill out any consents or add any information that they otherwise would have added during the MD HQ registration process. As such, the patient registration link on the Patient Portal log in screen will automatically be removed once the Hint integration is activated.
